Position Summary

The Deposits Operations Specialist II will process NSF returns, non-post items, stop payment, and RDIs in a timely and accurately to insure compliance and regulatory standards are met.  Provide support to internal banking center staff and other departments as requested.  Will perform duties such as account maintenance, assist with debit card inquiries, online & mobile banking products, as well as assist with court orders and general deposit related tasks in the department.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Provide superior customer service support to internal and external customers.
  • Process NSF/OD Decisions, stop payments, and unposted items thru EIM on core system timely and accurately.
  • Handle NSF/OD Notices/Cash Letters/Chargebacks (RDIs) timely and accurately.
  • Perform all CIF and account maintenance functions including verifications.
  • Monitor New Account reports and verification.
  • Assist departments and banking center personnel with e-banking related inquires or troubleshooting for online & mobile banking including add-on features such as bill pay and P2P payment applications.
  • Assist with debit card issuance, maintenance, and transaction inquiries including management of travel & limit restrictions.
  • Ensures departmental functions are performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies & procedures.
  • Create desktop procedures for all job functions.
  • Other duties as requested.

Position Qualifications

Education: 4 Year College Degree preferred; High School Diploma or GED required

Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in an Operations area; minimum of 3 yrs. experience in banking industry
  • Prior Customer Service experience preferred
